A:
New students register at New Student Open Houses, during registration weeks, or with their advisor or counselor any time. Distance Learning Students register online.
Q:
Is UGF a safe campus? Who provides security?
A:
UGF has an exceptionally low crime rate and our students feel safe walking between campus buildings. Our Physical Plant provides 24-hour campus security, and will walk with students across campus if they feel unsafe.
Q:
Do students need a car on campus?
A:
Students may utilize a small shopping center two blocks from campus, which includes Albertson’s and Target. Also, the City of Great Falls operates a public transit system, so a car is not a necessity. Parking is free on campus for UGF students that do have cars.
Q:
Do students need laptop computers?
A:
Laptops are allowed in class and around campus. Each UGF student is assigned their own portion of our local network drive, which they can access from any campus computer. Campus housing also includes Internet access. We also offer our students free wireless internet connection in the Library, Student Center, and Sullivan Hall.
