2008 Volleyball: Recent Recruit Signings

Kyah Decker, C.M. Russell High School, Great Falls, Montana

C.M.R’s Decker signs to play for the Lady Argos Volleyball Team

GREAT FALLS, MT (Monday, December 3, 2007) — The University of Great Falls women’s volleyball team is excited to announce the signing of a local volleyball standout from Great Falls, Montana.

Kyah Decker from C.M. Russell High School will join the University of Great Falls volleyball team for 2008. She played volleyball all four years for the Rustlers, including this year’s team which had one of its best seasons. The Lady Rustlers were several points away from making the Class AA State Volleyball Tournament this season and had their best record in years.

Kyah was a member of the Class AA’s First Team All-Conference squad and was First Team All-State as a defensive player. She was also the team leader in digs and aces and won the best defensive player award this year.

“We are very excited to sign Kyah to play for the Argos next season. She has the desire and heart to be a great defensive player for us for years to come. Kyah comes in to UGF with the defensive skills that you just can’t teach; court sense, desire, and passion for the game. We are very excited to develop this player into what we believe could be a dominant libero in this conference,” said UGF coach Arunas Duda.

GREAT FALLS, MT (Tuesday, October 9, 2007) — The University of Great Falls women’s volleyball team has added a volleyball standout from Havre High School in Havre, Montana.

Signe Hillson has been an all-conference volleyball performer for the Havre Blue Ponies for the past two seasons. Hillson becomes the first volleyball signee for coach Arunas Duda’s 2008 recruiting class. Signe’s 6’2” frame allows her to be more aggressive and dominant at the net. She has also excelled in the classroom by being an honor roll student for the past three years and she was also selected on the Academic All-State team in 2006.

“We are very excited to sign Signe to play for the Argo volleyball team. She will add height and blocking to the front row and she will compete for playing time right away. She is a great kid and has a tremendous work ethic and we look forward to watching her make an impact in the conference,” said UGF coach Arunas Duda.
