Tim Brooks, Head Men's Soccer Coach
Seasons at UGF: 1st Season as Head Men's Soccer Coach Tim Brooks will be entering his first year as the head coach of the Argo men's soccer program. He played soccer at NCAA Division I Oral Roberts before transferring to NAIA's University of Cumberlands located in Kentucky. He earned second team All-American honors there. This year (2007) will be the first year that the University of Great Falls has men's soccer and in April 2007, he became the first coach in school history. For the past three seasons, he was an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at the University of Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY. In 2004, Tim was instrumental in helping guide the University of Cumberlands to a 16-5-1 record and that year the team was the runner-up in the Mid-South Conference and they were ranked as high as 20th in the country and 2nd in the region. They were also a Region 11 Tournament finalist. In 2005, Coach Brooks' team went 14-5-1 and were again the runner-up in the Mid-South Conference. In his last season at the University of Cumberlands, Tim proved to be a major factor in aiding the Patriots in another successful season as the team finished 16-5-1 and took second place in the conference. They also reached the regional semi-finals for the first time in school history and finished the season in the Top 25. While at the university, he coached six Honorable Mention: All Americans, three First Team All-Conference goalkeepers, and two others that went on as professionals. Prior to coaching, Coach Brooks had a successful playing career. He had the distinct honor of playing with the U-17 U.S. National team as a goalkeeper and Tim helped the team finish second at the CONCAF (World Cup Qualifiers). He then attended NCAA Division I Oral Roberts University where he helped the team to their first ever conference tournament championship and an eventual loss to a playoff game to the University of washington. Tim played his senior year at the University of Cumberlands (previously Cumberland College) in Kentucky where he earned second team All-American honors. Brooks earned his Bachelors degree in Health, Movement and Leisure and a minor in Public Health from Cumberland College in 2003. Brooks is accompanied at UGF by his wife Misty and their 15-month old daughter, Faith.
