2008 UGF Men's and Women's Golf: Recent Recruit Signings
Kurtis Burrall , Foothills Community Christian School, Great Falls, MT Foothills Christian golfer joins the Argo golf team GREAT FALLS, Mont., June 3, 2008 — University of Great Falls women’s and men's golf coach Steve Silsby has announced the signing of Kurtis Burrall to an NAIA/Frontier Conference Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. Burrall joins the University of Great Falls golf team from Foothills Community Christian School in Great Falls, Montana which is a member of the Montana Christian Athletic Association (MCAA). Kurtis is a 10 handicap golfer for the Falcons.
He is very involved in the community as he has been a part of the Meadow Lark Country Club Community Service, has helped out at the Rescue Mission and the Great Falls Food Bank and has been a member of the AWANA program that is a church program for kids.
The future Business major at the University of Great Falls is also an excellent student in the classroom as he has made the honor roll with a cumulative 3.78 GPA. Burrall received the Delores Russell Scholarship which is an Academic and Citizenship Award.
“Kurtis has really improved his golf game in the past year," said UGF Golf Coach Steve Silsby. "Besides being a solid golfer he excels in the classroom and will be a great addition to the UGF golf program."
Hunter Schneider, Cody High School, Cody, Wyoming Wyoming standout Schneider joins the Argo golf program GREAT FALLS, Mont., June 2, 2008 — University of Great Falls men’s and women's golf coach Steve Silsby has announced the signing of Hunter Schneider to an NAIA/Frontier Conference Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2008-2009 season.
Schneider will be joining the University of Great Falls golf team from Cody High School in Cody, Wyoming where he was a four year golf letterman for the Broncs. In addition to playing golf at Cody High, he was also a member of the alpine ski team and he is involved with his community church.
Hunter will receive four scholarships including an academic, athletic, Catholic Church scholarship and a leadership and community scholarship.
“This is a big step for me. I was impressed with the people, coaches and staff at the school," said Schneider.
“Hunter is an excellent addition to the UGF golf program. He has the ability to compete for one of the top five spots," said UGF Golf Coach Steve Silsby. "He also does an outstanding job in the classroom."
