Rocky edges Great Falls 102-101 in conference game

BILLINGS, MT (Thursday, February 7, 2008) – The Argo men’s basketball team was looking for the series split against the Rocky Mountain College Bears on Thursday night in Billings but after only being down 50-47 at the half, they fell just short in a 102-101 contest that put a stop to their three-game winning streak. The last time these two met in conference play was back on January 5th in Great Falls and Rocky took the 82-70 victory.

The Argos trailed by 3 points at halftime thanks to a half-court shot from Jay Jamieson (Sr., Chinook, MT). He scored 8 points on the night.

The Bears had a 75-62 lead with just over 13 minutes to play. In the final minutes, the game was exciting as both teams traded baskets in a fight until the end. The Argos trimmed their deficit to 100-95 with 11.4 seconds on the clock and then UGF’s Keithan Gregg connected on a three-pointer with 0.7 on the game clock.
