    Biographical Information

After graduating from high school I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in June 1968 to 1972 and was assigned as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on the F-4 Phantom. Entered college in 1972 majoring in criminal justice with a minor in sociology. Received BA in criminal justice in 1975 from Alvernia College, Reading, PA. In 1976, I enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman and subsequently progressed to a Military Police Investigator. In 1979, I was accepted into the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) as a Special Agent, Criminal Investigator. During my tenure as a criminal investigator, I worked every facet of investigation to include crimes against persons (homicide, rape, robbery, and assault) to crimes against property (burglary, larceny, embezzlement, and fraud). My work took me to many exciting (and not so exciting) countries around the world.

I retired from CID in 1992 and worked with the Saudi and Algerian governments. Between 1993 and 1997, I worked as a Deputy Sheriff/Detective with the Burlington County Sheriff's Office, NJ. During this time I earned my Masters of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Between 1997 and 2002, I taught criminal justice courses with the University of Maryland and Central Texas College in Vicenza, Italy.

I began my doctoral studies with Walden University in 1999 and received my Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialization in Criminal Justice in 2004. My dissertation research focused on domestic violence and marital conflict within a military environment. My hobbies include but are not limited to traveling and exploring new cultures, collecting antique firearms, scuba diving, fishing, and shooting of all types. I am married to my lovely wife Bonnie and one of our joys in life is taking annual cruises to warm tropical countries.
