Playing sax in the UGF Jazz Band

As a professor of history at UGF I strive to grow along with my students as we explore facets of the human experience, particularly as those are manifested in the ongoing story of our country's past, present and future. I am particularly attracted to the study and discussion of American history from a big picture perspective, and enjoy sharing and interacting with students as we "survey" the broader themes that illuminate our nation's narrative. On the "upper division" level I particularly enjoy exploring themes relating to the history of the American West, the Civil War, our Constitution, and International Relations among others.
