Biographical Information

  • Born in Denver, CO.
  • Married to Liz, we have three kids – Adam (23), Amanda (21), Erica (20).
  • Raised on the Front Range of the Rockies west of Denver
  • Graduate from Wheatridge High School, Wheatridge, CO
  • Enlisted in the US Navy after HS
  • Attended Navy Nuclear Power Training in Orlando, FL, and Idaho Falls, ID
  • Served on three submarines (USS Lafayette (SSBN616G), USS Alabama (SSBN731G) and USS Key West (SSN722))
  • Served on two submarine tenders (USS L.Y. Spear (AS36), USS Emory S. Land (AS39))
  • I retired from the Navy in 1995. My last ship in the Navy was the Emory S. Land. When my son enlisted in the Navy, his first ship was the Emory S. Land. (He’s in the Army now).

  • Motion analysis
  • shoulder function in throwing/striking athletes
  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament injuries, particularly in females
  • Cycling

Role of ankle bracing or taping as a risk factor for ACL injury
