Welcome to the University of Great Falls, our University!

Our University is a remarkable place. We have a wonderful community of students, faculty and staff built around the value of respect. We consider students to be community members, not customers, and take great pride in seeing our students grow as human beings, intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. We are ambitious, seeking to prepare students for "living and making a living."

We are a Catholic University, under the leadership of the Sisters of Providence. We believe in the Providence Leadership Covenant, which stresses respect, justice, compassion, charity, simplicity and excellence. Our University is a spiritual place.

Our University is particularly good at helping our students dream, take risks, and embrace the world around them. We offer a four-year personal development program called the Corps of Discovery, which challenges students to grow individually and as members of a team. The Corps takes our students out of the classroom to work as teams in a variety of settings and to reflect on their experiences through conversations and in journals.

Our students benefit from close ties with a caring faculty. Our average student/faculty ratio is 14:1, and our faculty members consider themselves, first and foremost, teachers and mentors. Students also have great opportunity to create a program of study centered on their interests.

We are also creating a new business curriculum, which in addition to excellence in accounting, marketing, and management, stress skills such as thinking, communicating, and leading. Our business graduates will have a tremendous advantage when entering the workplace because they can offer skills in great demand.

We have a lot of fun at our University. We are located in the beautiful Big Sky Country of Montana, with wonderful recreational opportunities, including snowboarding in the winter, and hiking and kayaking in the summer. Our students "do things." They are self-starters who embrace life.

Our University is changing and growing every day. You may be a prospective student, a parent, alum, or a friend. We invite you to visit, join our community, and help us build. We are engaged in important work, making this private Catholic liberal arts university…our University. Please join us.
