We encourage all students to learn as much as possible about federal aid as well as outside scholarships. Great information can be found at www.mappingyourfuture.org and www.smartaboutcollege.org. Applying for external scholarships is an important way to reduce dependence on borrowing to pay for your education. There are many great websites to help you in your search. FastWeb is a great site to get started. Be very careful for scams! You should never have to pay to apply for a scholarship.
