"You will face many defeats in your life, but never let yourself be defeated." - Maya Angelou
I appreciate the numerous sunny days in Great Falls. I enjoy venturing out to Ryan’s Dam Island Park for a picnic, running on the River’s Edge Trail, and camping and hiking in the Little Belt Mountains in the summer. The Christmas Stroll downtown is my favorite downtown event. It is always nice to see such a vibrant event in the middle of winter.
The University of Great Falls has a very welcoming feel from the first moment you step onto campus. The people; faculty, students, and staff, are eager to greet new faces and share their experiences with you. I especially like the interactions and collaborations from differing groups on campus that you will not find anywhere else.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”
In the summer I enjoy floating down the Missouri River, fishing, golfing and partaking in community events such as Alive@Five. During the winter I take advantage of the cold weather and hit the nearby ski hills for some snowboarding action.
As a graduate of UGF I love the sense of community on campus. The core values of honor, respect, compassion, trust and integrity are engrained in every aspect of academic and social life. I believe that students carry these values with them when they leave the University of Great Falls.

I enjoy exploring the parks in Great Falls, particularly Gibson Park and Giant Springs. No matter what time of year, it’s always fun to go for walks and enjoy the sunshine. I also like all of the annual events in and around town, like the Farmer’s Market and Montana State Fair during the summer, and the Christmas Stroll downtown in December.
I love the campus! The landscape is gorgeous and Providence Plaza is such a beautiful and calming area at the center of campus. I also enjoy all of the photos hanging around the Student Center of students living the “college life” and exploring all that Great Falls and the surrounding areas have to offer!

“Everybody laughs in the same language.” - Unknown Author
I love to run and bike on the River’s Edge Trail, hike in the Highwood Mountains, and kayak in the Missouri River. All of the random downtown events such as Alive@Five, Taste of Montana, and the Wine and Food Festival are fun as well.
My favorite thing about the University of Great Falls is its history and its potential. I am proud to be the only university established by the Sisters of Providence. The feeling of being a part of a larger mission is rewarding and it’s exciting to be a part of all of the wonderful changes happening on campus.

“Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last.” - Irish proverb
I love how Great Falls is family-oriented. Everywhere you go, you will be sure to see a smiling face and be greeted at the door. I grew up around Great Falls, so I know and love everything about it. The University has been my home away from home. A person can always find something to do here. There is never a dull moment in Great Falls. Some of the main attractions are: the various parks, museums, and the events, such as rodeos, Live at Five, and concerts that take place at the fair. Whatever you do, you can guarantee that you will always have a great time in Great Falls.
I recently graduated from the University of Great Falls. I loved the experience that I had as a student. I loved the campus as well as everyone on campus, including the faculty, professors, and the athletes. They were so welcoming and pleasant to work with. Everyone is so passionate about what they do here. The University of Great Falls strives to make students happy, while ensuring that they learn the core values of the University. The people that I met here were my family for the last four years, and some of the memories that I have made here will last a lifetime.

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” - By Robert Brault.
After growing up in Great Falls and then moving away for 20 plus years, I felt really at home coming back. I love the small town feel and enjoy the opportunities that Great Falls has to offer. I enjoy the outdoors and get to experience the different seasons here.
I love working at the University of Great Falls because of its small size and personal attention that is given to each student. I love the history and the potential that the university has to offer. The staff, faculty and students always make me feel welcomed and are always available if needed.

“It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.” - Chinese Proverb
Growing up in Great Falls I have always enjoyed taking advantage of everything there is to do outdoors. I love that we are so close to the mountains and the river; camping, fishing, snowboarding, there is always something you can be doing outside any time of the year. The city itself has definitely changed and grown since I was a kid. We have new shopping centers, restaurants, and businesses but it still has that same community oriented feel.
The great school spirit the students have at UGF! I can walk into any area of campus and there are students everywhere; in the lounges, in the café’s, studying at the Grandma Rice Center, student events, they’re everywhere. It is a very fun environment to be a part of and to work in.

"I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!" - Bruce Dickenson
The Great Falls community constantly has something going on. I take full advantage of the vibrant social events, delicious local restaurants, and limitless outdoor activities.
Its people and its potential. As a graduate of the University of Great Falls, I can honestly say that our faculty, staff, and students are truly a family. The neat thing is that the University of Great Falls is continuously evolving and offers countless opportunities for students academically and socially.
