Caleb Schaeffer, Head Wrestling Coach College: Montana State University-Northern, 2003
Seasons at UGF: 1st Season as Head Wrestling Coach (3rd Overall) Caleb Schaeffer will be entering his first year as the head coach of the Argo's wrestling program. He graduated from MSU-Northern with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education.
Luke Roberts, Assistant Wrestling Coach College: Central Washington University & University of Great Falls
Seasons at UGF: 2nd Season as Assistant Wrestling Coach Luke Roberts will be entering his second year as an assistant coach with the Argo's wrestling program. Although, Luke is in his second season as an assistant coach here, he has been here for four years competing and attending school here for four years. He is originally from Spokane, Washington where he attended West Valley High School and competed in football, wrestling, and soccer. He was named to the All-Conference team in all three sports a total of nine times and placed in state in wrestling. In his senior year, Luke received the Pepsi scholar athlete award. After high school, Luke went to Central Washington University to pursue a career in the field of Health Education and a career in wrestling. After Luke's first year at Central Washington, the college decided to cut the wrestling program. During that summer, Luke decided to sign with the University of Great Falls and wrestle with the Argos. In his first year at UGF, he became the anchor point finishing fifth at the NAIA National Tournament and helped UGF finished in 10th place in their first year of competition. "Luke will be working with the 197 lb. and Heavyweight wrestlers this season. The work ethic and knowledge for wrestling that Luke brought to the wrestling mat will be transferred over to his coaching style and he will be a great asset to have in the room to help with our bigger guys," said UGF coach Caleb Schaeffer. Coach Fun Fact: Some of Luke's interests are jogging at night, chess, and accordion music.
Aaron Jensen, Assistant Wrestling Coach
Seasons at UGF: 2nd Season as Assistant Wrestling Coach Aaron Jensen is headed into his second season as an assistant coach at UGF. He primarily works with the 157-174 weight classes. He graduated from MSU-Northern with a degree in Secondary Education and teaches at Great Falls High School. As an athlete at MSU-Northern, Aaron was a 2006 NAIA All-American at 165 pounds. He was a 2005 regional champion and an NAIA Champion of Character Recipient. He was also a member of the 2004 MSU-Northern Lights team that won the NAIA National Championship. Aaron is a native of Havre, Montana.
Coach Fun Fact: Aaron is married to Haley Hammond of Whitewater, Montana. They have one dog, a yellow lab named Kimber.
Nick Budeski, Student Assistant Wrestling Coach
Seasons at UGF: 1st Season as a Student Assistant Wrestling Coach Nick Budeski will be entering his first year as a student assistant coach with the Argos wrestling program. He graduated from C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls where he wrestled for the Rustlers. In 2006-2007, while wrestling for the Argos, Nick claimed 3rd place at the 2007 NAIA Regional Wrestling Tournament in Ashland, Oregon at 141 lbs. At the NAIA National Tournament, Nick took 7th place. He was one of six Argo All-Americans on the team. He helped the wrestling team finish with a 13-4 dual record. |
