The Lumen Village apartments are located just three blocks away from campus. Upper-class students reside in Lumen Village. The two single-occupancy bedroom apartments come partially furnished. There are 55 total units available to house 110 sophomores, juniors and seniors.
At the heart of the apartment complex is a 24-hour laundry facility and community recreation room for students to watch television, study or play board games, pool and ping pong. There is also a small computer lab available for student use.
An on-site Assistant Director of Community Living assists students with concerns they may have. In addition, Community Living Assistants provide social and educational programming opportunities. Past programs have included: Super Bowl parties, senior bingo, 1980’s prom dance, pumpkin carvings, and numerous outdoor barbeques. Community Living Assistants have also facilitated study breaks, alternatives to alcohol-related activities, and opportunities for our students to socialize together.
Each apartment has a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a shared laundry facility in rec room. Each resident has his/ her own room with a twin size bed, dresser, closet, desk, and desk chair. Cable internet and cable television provided.
Lumen Village offer a safe, comfortable, and engaging living and learning environment that is within walking distance to campus.
To ensure a Community Living assignment, the following must be completed by July 1st.
· $250 deposit must be submitted
· Completed Community Living application must be submitted
Applications after July 1st will be assigned on a first-come, first serve basis.
