Head Coach

 Joey Egan enters her first year as Head Coach for the softball team. It is her sixth season on the coaching staff serving 5 s an assistant women's softball coach for the University of Great Falls. Joey played collegiately at NCAA II Montana State University – Billings where she racked up numerous awards.

 

Post season accolades started accumulating for Joey as a freshman as she earned 2nd Team PacWest Conference awards in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 Joey was recognized as a member of the 1st Team PacWest Conference and 2nd Team All-West Region as a utility player. In 2011, Joey was named to the MSU-Billings Hall-of-Fame.

 

As a senior in 2005, Joey was named both 1st Team All-Conference and Pitcher of the Year for the PacWest Conference. Additionally, Joey was honored as a member of the NCAA II Second Team All-West Region and NCAA II West Region All Tournament Team. Joey was also named MSU-Billings' Female Athlete of the Year and the Little Sullivan Award winner for 2005.

Jordan Shine

Assistant Coach

 

Jordan Shine, born and raised in Great Falls, MT.  He attended Great Falls High School and played American Legion Baseball with the Great Falls Electrics.  He continued his baseball at Miles City Community College and MSU-Billings.  He came back to Great Falls to complete his education at MSU-COT-Great Falls.  He earned his degree in Practical Nursing and became a Registered Nurse through Montana State University-Northern.

Jordan has experience coaching in Little League and High School Softball.

He is married to Megan, they have two son's Talan (5) and Tenysan (11 Months)

 

 

Gary Ehnes
 Hometown:  Great Falls, MT

Athletic Director

Assistant Softball Coach

Gary Ehnes has accepted the position of Athletic Director.  While his he oversees all the the athletic programs at the University of Great Falls, he still enjoys coaching softball. Gary began coaching the Argos as the Head Coach in 2004. Gary enters his first season as an assistant women's softball coach for the University of Great Falls. Gary will be assisting his daughter Joey and helping her with the transition to Head Coach.  Gary has been a part of the softball community in Great Falls for over 20 years. He has coached softball at both Great Falls High and C.M. Russell High from 1992-2006. Between ASA and high school, he has over 200 wins, 2 state championships and one regional championship.


The Argos first season finished with a 3-13 record while improving to 14-17 during their second season which included nine Division I & II games. The 2007 season also watched the Argo softball team go 13-10 against NAIA opponents in only their second year. The Argo school win loss record is 17-30. 2007 was highlighted by going 2-0 against 12th ranked Simon Frazer while placing third baseman Jo Bailey on the NAIA ALL REGIONAL TEAM.


Gary grew up in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School. While in high school, he played baseball for the Great Falls Electrics where he was the team batting champion and batting average record holder as he hit over .400 during the 1970-1971 seasons.


Fun Facts: You may see him on the streets of Great Falls riding his scooter around.
