I began my career in education in 1975 when I accepted a sixth grade teaching position and spent the next twelve years teaching at the middle school level. Although my background is social studies and English, I taught all subjects but music at various times during those twelve years. My career path then took me to school administration where I was a principal for thirteen years. During that time I also served as my school’s Athletic Director. In the course of my career in public education, I acted in community plays, directed school plays, coached middle school girls’ basketball, and announced the play-by-play at our school’s football games. I came to The University of Great Falls in 2000 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Having played guitar in several rock and roll bands over the years, old time rock and roll is still my passion. Although I don’t play professionally anymore, I still enjoy classic rock and listen to it live whenever I can. I collect vinyl LPs from the 60s and 70s and have somewhere around 2,000 in my collection. I am particularly fond of my complete collection of Beatles’ albums.
