Sr. Lucille Dean
Lucille Dean, SP serves as the interim president of the University of Great Falls. She is the immediate past chair for Providence Health & Services, having served as chair from 2009 to 2012. She has served in the education ministry of the Sisters of Providence as the principal of Providence High School in Burbank, California, since 1986 and retired in 2005. From 1979 through 1985, Sr. Lucille was the provincial superior of the Sisters of Providence, Sacred Heart Province. She has served with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the National Catholic Educational Association in the work of accreditation of member institutions. She also serves on various committees within the Mother Joseph Province of the Sisters of Providence and is a member of the governance committee of the Catholic Health Association.
Sr. Lucille has a Master of Arts in Administration/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in History from College of Great Falls, Montana. Sr. Lucille was a member of the former Providence Health System Board of Directors for five years and served on the Audit & Integrity Committee. She is also a trustee of the Sisters of Providence Retirement Trust and serves as a regent of Providence High School.
