Eugene J. McAllister, Ph.D.

Dr. Eugene J. McAllister took the helm at the University of Great Falls in March of 2003. Before joining us in Montana, Dr. McAllister served as Vice President for Financial Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Jacksonville University, a private, independent university in Florida.

Dr. McAllister’s credentials include extensive experience in Washington, D.C. where he served as Special Assistant to the President in the Reagan White House and as Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs in the first Bush Administration. At the State Department, McAllister successfully led negotiations for treaties with Russia, Poland, and China, and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He has a Ph.D. in economics from the Catholic University of America.
